About The Tour
This Lofoten Island photography workshop offers a unique opportunity to capture the archipelago in early autumn, as the landscapes transform with vibrant fall colors. The warmer temperatures melt much of the remaining snow, providing access to rugged trails, peaks, and secluded beaches—perfect for photographing the islands’ autumn beauty.
Over 9 nights and 10 days, we will visit stunning locations across Moskenesøya, Flakstadøya, and Vestvågøya, including fishing villages like Hamnøy and Reine, and picturesque beaches like Vareid and Haukland. September brings dramatic weather conditions, with light shifting from soft golden hues to deep oranges and reds, plus the chance to capture the Northern Lights during night sessions. Our flexible itinerary will adapt to weather and Aurora forecasts, ensuring the best opportunities for capturing Lofoten’s stunning landscapes.
We will also teach landscape and nature photography techniques, helping you capture the mountains, fjords, and skies, both in daylight and under the Aurora.

In September, the temperature in Norway typically ranges from 5ºC (41ºF) to 10ºC (50ºF). It’s cooler than the summer months, but not yet as cold as winter. The weather can be quite unpredictable, so you may experience sunny days mixed with rain, wind, and occasional snow in the higher elevations. It’s a good idea to pack for varying conditions, with layers to stay warm and waterproof clothing for the rain.
Your sense of adventure and fun, your camera and your sense of humor of course. Besides that? When you book your seat, we’ll send you an information package that will give you further details and suggestions about what to bring. (gear, clothing, etc.)
